Not from me, don't be silly, but believe it or not, I am not a huge fan of the NRA, they are a lobbying group that has in the past have made deals that ignored our rights in lieu of getting special legislation for manufacturers that pay more for membership, though I can't discount the other things they do for firearm owners, with that said Jason Whitlock was wrong in comparing them to the KKK and spouting off about crap he knows nothing about. The 2AF has a nice petition that calls for just an apology to the parties involved, not calling for their heads on a platter, just a basic apology.

Been busy

Haven't had much of a chance to put up some content and by the time I clear my stared Google Reader articles, it's to late and it all seems irrelevant at the time.

Part of what has been keeping me busy is work, business has been decent, had some big orders to fill, now I just need to save for December and January, the slow periods. I am sure that I benefiting off of some gubbment program to fill some need at a school to cut a pizza into equal slices because pizza is now considered a vegetable (the people who made that decision should look in the mirror if they want to see a vegetable).

One of the benefits of filling big orders and working long days and nights is the opportunity to catch up on pod-casts and audio books. I am a Star Wars geek, I miss my X-Wing fighter and all of the other toys I had back in the day, so I downloaded the Thrawn Trilogy from Audible and it's awesome. So then I went through the X-Wing series which was good and now I am finishing up the Correlian Trilogy which better have a good ending. I am almost getting tired of the Rebels always wining, it seems to make the story predictable. The Were Alive season finale is coming up and I find Mishonne from the Walking Dead a lot like CJ in Were Alive. Then you have the pro-freedom podcasts like all of your gun rights and shooting podcasts like Liberty Or Zombie Podcast (great show, they just need to come out with a show more often, but they just got their FFL so they have obviously been busy), The Road Gunner Podcast is my second favorite podcast (I don't know who my first fave is, but he asked to be my second so I have obliged) great show to learn how to cook in your truck with some prepping, politics and guns thrown in, The Gun Dudes who say that their show has 3 segments, but I count 4, but they are the Gun Dudes and have trouble memorizing state abbreviations (which is funny because they work for UPS) much less counting, The Urban Shooter staring Rev. Kenn Blanchard who even though I am a militant/agnostic (means I don't know and you don't know either) I would consider him my pastor and I always feel good after listening to his show, Dan Carlin's Common Sense and Dan Carlin's Hardcore History which are two great shows that have strong point of view and may change yours and being a fan of hstory listening to another fan of history tell the tale can easily kill 3 hours of boredom and the Squirrel Report (It's better than thinking).

Shot a Steel Challenge match last weekend, need to do some work to my .22 so I can improve my skills and  save a couple bucks. More on that later, bought some stabby things and I am looking to do some reloading, brew some beer and move in with the MBWITW, so I have some stuff coming up. Busy is good, I will be back here to boost my ego here a little later....

6 weeks and smoke free

I haven't had cigarette for 6 weeks and I am still coughing up crap with black specs in it. Now don't get all "way to go man!!!" just yet, I have only found another nicotine delivery system know as the E-cig. I get all of the hand to mouth habits that smokers need so much (kinda like the way I live), I can vape (e-cig users son't call it smoking we call it "vaping"), it only costs me a like a buck a day (compared to $4.79 for a pack of sweet tasting Camel Menthol Wides), I think that I may get more nicotine, the menthol "juice" I have tastes just like my beloved Camel Menthol Wides, but there is a whole plethora of flavors that I can have. You can look online yourself and make your own judgement as to if they are safe or not, but they have to be a lot safer than smoking and all of the crap that they put in "analog" (E-cig users call regular cigarettes "analogs") cigarettes. I never noticed how much smokers smell like smoke until the other day when I had to work next to a smoker. If you want to join in on the craze I suggest a store in Oregon called NW Vapors, they make their own juice and their products seem much higher quality than some of the other stuff I have seen around. If you are a serious smoker (1-2 packs a day) I STRONGLY suggest going with the KGO/EGO type battery with a CE4 cartomizer on the top and you will not be disappointed!!! I am actually using the 24mg juice right now, but just got some 18mg juice to slowly step down my nicotine dependence. We will see what happens when I have a few beers with the 18mg stuff, I have no problems wanting a smoke with the 24mg juice and I like to toss back a couple in the evenings on the weekends. So give it a try, it seems to have helped me out quite a bit.

Here is what I don't understand about progressives and the people who elect them. Let's start with Bush who was a huge progressive and because he represented a party that started with an "R" all the members of the party that start with "D" blame it on the "R"'s with out seeing that they really are the same and it's only different when their team does it, so what what's good for thee is not good for me. Everything that Bush did that was wrong and evil from the wars on terrorisim that will never end to borrowing endless amounts of money from other countries like China and printing what we can't borrow and double taxing investments and huge growths in gov'ts were highly frowned upon by the Liberal Mainstream media or better yet lets talk about losing our 1st and 4th amendment rights through the Patriot Act or the NDAA and talk about the gov't that is building a huge faciltity that is going to be used to spy on us through any all electronic communications. All these things were wrong when Bush did them and they are wrong when Obama does them, but Obama's party has  a "D" in front of its name so that makes it OK?!?!? We wont even get into all of the golf Bush played and how much he campaigned and how Obama has done 4 times as much. Just like when Clinton didn't do anything about the attack on the USS Cole, Bush was asleep behind the wheel when 9-11 happened, Obama failed to meet with his foreign policy team days before we had citizens and soldiers killed and our embassies attacked all progressives are all the same.  Now I am not saying that Romney is a night in shining armor because he isn't. He is an establishment progressive just like Bush and Obama, but a couple of things we do gain with Romney is some sort of transparency that we don't get from Obama in regards to the media, if we have a republican in the white house again we may see some actual journalism again, the second part would be jobs by opening up the Keystone pipeline and reducing our dependence on foreign oil which sounds evil, but we need jobs and we have the resources for it and they we could have money to develop into green energy instead of borrowing money to fund plans that have proven not to work. If peace and being green are important to you, don't vote for Obama, vote for Jill Stein, she respects your 1st and 4th amendment rights has a energy and economic plan that promises free ice cream for all and vehicles that run on unicorn farts for everybody!!!! and without all of the wars in the middle east and stuff or Gary Johnson who is a guy with a proven track record in the state he governed, respects your 1st and 4th amendment rights, but has a jobs plan and a green energy plan and believes in peace with a strong defense, because lets face it Carter, Bush, Clinton, Bush and Obama have pretty much have pissed off most of the countries in the world or their citizens over the years. I am starting look back at the way the American peole have voted for the last 30 years and I am reminded of the definition of stupidity...
