Adopt a terrorist program....
ADOPT A TERRORIST!A Canadian female libertarian wrote a lot of letters to theCanadian government, complaining about the treatment of captiveinsurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan NationalCorrectional System facilities. She demanded a response to her letter. She received back the following reply:National Defense HeadquartersM Gen George R. Pearkes Bldg., 15 NT101 Colonel By DriveOttawa , ON K1A 0K2CanadaDear Concerned Citizen,Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profoundconcern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists capturedby Canadian Forces, who were subsequently transferred to theAfghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghanofficials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities. Our administration takes these matters seriously and youropinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa . You will bepleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, weare creating a new department here at the Department of NationalDefense, to be called 'Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers'program, or L.A.R.K. for short. In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we havedecided, on a trial basis, to divert several terrorists and placethem in homes of concerned citizens such as yourself, around thecountry, under those citizens’ personal care. Your personal detaineehas been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavilyarmed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday.Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is your detainee, and is to becared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in yourletter of complaint. You will be pleased to know that we will conductweekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed arecommensurate with your recommendations.Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hopethat your sensitivity to what you described as his 'attitudinalproblem' will help him overcome those character flaws. Perhaps you arecorrect in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. Weunderstand that you plan to offer counselling and home schooling, however, we strongly recommend that you hire some assistantcaretakers. Please advise any Jewish friends, neighbours or relatives aboutyour house guest, as he might get agitated or even violent, but we aresure you can reason with him. He is also expert at making a widevariety of explosive devices from common household products, so youmay wish to keep those items locked up, unless in your opinion, thismight offend him. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient inhand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simpleitems as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask himto demonstrate these skills either in your home or wherever you chooseto take him while helping him adjust to life in our country.Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughtersexcept sexually, since he views females as a form of property, therebyhaving no rights, including refusal of his sexual demands. This is aparticularly sensitive subject for him.You also should know that he has shown violent tendencies aroundwomen who fail to comply with the dress code that he will recommend asmore appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymityoffered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of'respecting his culture and religious beliefs' as described in yourletter. You take good care of Ahmed and remember that we will try tohave a counsellor available to help you over any difficulties youencounter while Ahmed is adjusting to Canadian culture. Thanks again for your concern. We truly appreciate it when folkslike you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care forour fellow man. Good luck and God bless you.Cordially,Gordon O'ConnorMinister of National Defense

I took a tech Holiday!!!
You see I grew up in desert, in Las Vegas to be exact and was born on the Arizona, Kali and Mexican border on this side of course in Yuma. Growing up my weekends were spent either on the lake, out in the desert hunting, out camping on the race track or around the house cutting wood and doing yard work or working on my '65 El Camino or my '57 Chevy. The important thing about these events is that they always included my dad. Once we took a week long kayak trip Lake Mead bringing only meager supplies and lots of beer. It was 9 years till I would be old enough to drink, but I discovered how good a Budweiser could be good for breakfast and we stayed up all night catching catfish cooking strips of steak and beans over an open fire. Some weekends we would load up the car and or truck and the we would go spend the weekend at Willow Beach on the AZ side of the Colorado river.
So for the first time in years we embarked on a journey to catch some catfish on the John Day River since neither one of us had tried to catch any catfish in Oregon. Living in the Willamette Valley I have grown accustomed to catching trout, salmon and stealhead for the last 20 years and forgot how much fun it can be. You can only fish for those fish during the day, you have to have a special stamp and it's a lot of work and can get expensive real quick. You gotta get up early in the morning at the but crack of dawn and fight for your place on the bank in what we call commando fishing or fight your way in your boat to find a spot in checker board of boats on the river. Don't get me wrong, it's fun and exciting and real blast, but staying up all night with some beer, a good vaporizer and a good book (click the link, I can't put this book down) when the old man finally falls asleep. You know you got one on the line when the fish pulls the rod from out of you lap.
Our adventure started off by driving over Mt. Hood, with this great view out of the pick up truck window in the way up.

Then you wonder why college is so expensive!?!?!?
Now tell me why we need to free up more money student loans??? College needs to be affordable and putting students in debt to pay for these coaches high salaries and then we are forced to pay their retirement doesn't make much sense.

We all have a dog in this fight!!!
This pushes Cody Wilson into a corner where only specialized lawyers dare to tread and what I believe is a petty, though effective, attempt to slow the wheels of the machine that trys to expand and keep our freedoms. This machine can't be stopped since you will notice that these files are already on the torrent and warez sites, but now I fear that the statist will use this as an excuse to destroy more of the freedoms that we enjoy. People in some of the countries affected by itar are already making arms out of commonly found household I items and they may try to destroy our freedoms because of it. For example they may try to make it illegal to buy a case of nails if you aren't a contractor, or pipe if you are not a licenced plumber etc... We need to shout out loud and clear that we will not be sacrificing our liberty for security!!!

More on my latest project...
So I have printed a AR15 lower, but not quite ready to start my build. There are are a few types of 3D printing, one is direct filament that the first functional AR was made from (http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-21639015) and the other is sometimes called the candy machine which is a laser that sinters the the "sugar" in layers and then a hard coating is sprayed or brushed on the surface. I only have access to the latter, so this is what I have to work with. Even though this part may work, it is still costly, so here is what I decided to do, use my 3D printed part to build mold, a polyurethane mold. This opens up a whole slew of options such as wide choice of materials (for example some polymer AR lowers are made with nylon6, I can use a similar and stronger polymer that isn't restricted by what's best for injection molding), choice of colors that are easy to mix where you are not stymied by cost of investment to change colors on a whim and last but not least is cost (as in the cost to build a mold for a injection molding machine). The versatility doesn't stop there because one thing I have noticed is that most of the people buying and using 3D printers are hampered by the fact that they lack CAD skills and more importantly 3D CAD skills. I have been in the CAD/CAM CNC industry for 20 years now and know a couple things about manufacturing. So for example, I can design a logo, cool quotes in any font or a 3D rendering of a deer for those that want to throw on a 300 blackout upper for a dedicated deer rifle or even make it so that it can accept glock mags for 9mm uppers.
So where am I going with this..... Well since it is polymer and easy to machine, I want to make and distribute 80% polymer lowers that will be strong and reliable. I have beefed up some of the areas that are prone to breakage with the polymer lowers on the market, so this could be a real viable endeavor that offers a strong and reliable lower that will pass muster once testing is all done.
So if any of you want to send me a buffer tube or some upper parts, I would be more than happy to make it worth your while. I cannot and will not send you a completed lower because that's not legal and I value my freedom, but a 80% lower with the tooling to make it into a real part with your drill press isn't that far away.
So that's what I got going on, I would like some feedback from you guys to tell me what you think.
Cheers
