I think that the new liberal mantra is going to be "We need jobs bill so we can lose more jobs!!!"

Obama, Romney or Johnson???

Don't get all excited I am not gonna run off and vote for Obama, I am not all butt hurt that the GOP driven RNC has decided to abandon the idea of true liberty and show that they are addicted to wars, socialism, entitlements, bailouts, fiat money etc... but like any addict will tell you admitting you have a problem is the first step. Maybe we need to come up with a 12 step program to get the GOP from sucking off the guberments teat. I am not thoroughly convinced that voting for Romney is the best thing for the party or Romney winning is the best thing for the party granted he is a fighter, but he will always do what's best for Romney which has not been hidden to the delegates to this years RNC convention.

Part of the reason why I am not running out to vote for Obama is that revolution is not over as was shown last Sunday before the convention Ron Paul's own convention that had quite a few attendees and as the The New York Times points out: "Mr. Paul said that he had recently read in newspapers that the so-called Ron Paul Revolution was over, and that whatever enthusiasm voters had shown toward his presidential campaign in the Republican primary season was gone. “They only wish!” Mr. Paul thundered to an audience that seemed to become more energized with his every word, their roars of approval reaching a deafening level inside the Sun Dome at the University of South Florida." and wish they did, but they did more than wish they changed the rules, they even allowed the their presumptive nominee to change the rules (he does have a lot of cash invested in this) and this is the same thing we get from Obama through his executive orders, so what can we expect from Mittens??? All we expect from a president (unless you have a religious or social agenda) is to keep us out of wars, grow the economy and keep taxes low. Judy Morris points out: "What does this say about the American people? It just might prove that the American people may in fact be the only folks in human history to have had liberty and consciously and willfully decided to vote away their liberty. " Of course she ends by endorsing Gary Johnson who of course points out the fact that both parties are just the same. The problem here is that Ron Paul has done more than the Libertarian Party has accomplished in 40 years. Just think of the change we can make if had more Republicans like Ron Paul???

But that's what it all comes down to is liberty and freedom and we are not the only ones to see it, just follow some tweets from some of the delegates. We may win the fight, even HuffPo thought we had a chance of getting the nomination, we may even make some concessions and win and lose some battles , but we can fight and take on the establishment and win the war on our liberty.

Or do we vote for Obama??? Borepatch points out that this is the best way to keep us organized to actually make a change in the party. One good thing about Romney getting elected is that Liberal mainstream media hates Republicans and like Bush he will be one very scrutinized president and we may see some transparency because of that. So with that said I have 3 choices Obama, Romney and Gary Johnson.

I couldn't say it any better myself

I can't understand how any minority can be a liberal and call the republicans racist, it baffles the mind.

RNC Convention

The Republican National Convention is coming up and they have a couple things that may cause some controversy. One being the Ron Paul factor and how to deal with the unbound delegates and what the left has planned. No has anyone looked into how Obama is controlling the weather to ruin the RNC convention???

Tool box

TMBWITW gave me a toolbox last year, it's great, it holds and organizes a majority of my tools that I need for big jobs. I have carried a tool bad for work for the longest time. One that is small enough to place in a decent sized suitcase for when I need to fly to fix a machine and keeps them kinda organized. Not a big fan of Mythbusters, but I do have to admit that there is a little bit of a drool factor when I saw Adam Savages toolbox. (that sounds dirty)

If you can't take the heat don't do the crime

Career criminals chose their career because their are little or consequences for them like in Britain where they make it pretty advantageous to be a career criminal. This is a guy that has been locked up 43 times before and isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but he did find the hottest peppers in the bunch...
"…when officers searched [Marcus] Banwell they found another four [Scotch Bonnet] chili peppers in his pocket, a stolen milkshake and fruit juice, and a clarinet stashed in his waistband, which was missing from a music shop." Scotch Bonnets are up to 50 times hotter than jalapeƱos by weight.

Where was Sean Connery???

Doing all of that nation building doesn't hurt us at home now does it??? While we are at it, how's that war terrorism treating ya???

I hate banks!!!

I hate banks, I really do and their greed goes from the top to the bottom let's start at the lowly consumer level, like when I go to cash a check from one of my customers and they always ask me to open an account and give me a $100 bucks and a water bottle with their banks logo on it and hold my 5 bucks hostage for the trouble to after you deposit your money and watch your money go to hedge funds that when or if they fail and they used your money you soon find out that you and your money are shit outta luck. I link to this post that shows that banks can legally take your money and lose it and not pay you a dime back, but have no problem selling off their assets to satisfy payment back to the federal reserve. Now lets say that you still like the convenience that banks provide and you are not sure what to do with your money so you sit on it for a little while, just keep it in an account for 5 years and let it accrue a pittance of interest well then you will probably end up going full wookie and become a Libertarian because then the local gov't will just come in and seize you money because you weren't doing anything with it and they have a whole bunch of plans and ideas for things they can buy with your money.

I don't have a way to prove it, but I am pretty sure that this happened in my back yard in Eugene, just going by the guys voice and the police cars. I am not a big fan of open carry because in my neck of the woods this type of stuff happens whereas in states like Arizona nobody gives it second thought. But here is an officer that has done everything right, followed the law and didn't violate this guys constitutional rights. I say good on him!!!

Exterminate

Some will get the Doctor Who reference, but the point is that robotics don't kill jobs they create jobs. You see that these robots have to be built somewhere and buy somebody and we have learned from Battlestar Galactica that robots can't be trusted to build themselves, what are Asimov's laws of robotics again??? After installing my fair share of CNC machines in small shops, I noticed early on that I wasn't exactly liked because they saw the machine taking their jobs away, but when I show up a year later to look things over before they went out of warranty, those same employees would come to me and tell me how much the machine has helped them and some even got raises. The ones that got a pay raise learned a marketable skill and were compensated for it. Do don't fear robotics and don't let your kid get a liberal arts degree.

Go on and take the money and run....

Working for yourself doesn't make you a rich man.

Ace of Spades HQ  Has a great post from the you didn't build that. I am an independent contractor that works in the automated manufacturing industry and as an independent contractor I am responsible for my own taxes, capitol equipment that if I break or damage it those costs can run very high, bill collecting, paperwork, ordering parts etc... I always laugh when I did an install and the person I was training would say "wow you work for yourself, you must be rich" most of us aren't rich and have to work twice as hard!!!

Because dry uncooked rice and beans suck

Most of us have a propane BBQ grill, but you may have to cook inside as well and nobody likes cold food except maybe leftover pizza from the night before.

It's like that cycle of abuse we here about...

Do we really have a two party system???

The same goes for Romney's pick in Paul Ryan, it is laughable when the call Romney a conservative and hard to do the same when you look at Ryan's voting record. The party of smaller gov't should start with us!!!
So Judy Morris asks "Why is it that Republican socialism is somehow good while Democrat socialism is bad? There is no such thing as good socialism or good statism."

Gun-buying enthusiasts crash firearms 'turn-in' event at Memorial Coliseum | OregonLive.com

I doubt that any criminal would just go and turn in their guns, let's remember that guns mean power in the underworld (it's the only way these thugs feel that they can be take seriously). I have mixed emotions about gun turn-ins for example it's a good way to get rid of a broken junk gun and collect 75 bucks for it because nobody else is gonna give you 75 bucks for a Jennings .22 and most criminals acquire their guns by theft and they realisticaally wont go out and buy a safe for a gun they don't want or will use no matter what the reason is. Here is the link, so feel free to share your thoughts.

Chains wasn't the worst part of the message

Pat Bagley has a point, and nobody realizes that the banks not only own Romney but they own the incumbent as well. They missed a perfect opportunity to talk about how this, but they obviously don't want to go there because well let's call a spade a spade and look the emperor has no clothes.

Pussy Riot crap happening here

We have all heard about what has happened to Pussy Riot in Russia by the hands of their gov't for insulting illustrious leader. Stranger has some interesting things to say about it. Now here is something that hits a little closer to home, I guess 1st and 4th amendment rights don't apply in the United States anymore....

If you are ever involved in a shooting

Mas gives great advise as usual. I can't add anything to this and wont even try.

Carry a loaded cell phone as well

The Roadgunner podcast has been my second favorite podcast for a while now, I have learned to cook healthy food in a big rig (forget the fact that I don't have a big rig) and to always carry a loaded cell phone when you carry a loaded gun so this came to mind when I got this in my e-mail...

This has been around before but good to be aware of again.  It's a great idea that could make a big difference in an emergency if you get all of your family members set up this way.

Subject: ICE - 'In Case of Emergency'
This is a standard procedure paramedics follow at the scene of an accident when they come across your cell phone.
We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but no one, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.
If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign the concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations.
As cell (mobile) phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' (In Case Of Emergency).
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as 'ICE.'
For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!
Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our Mobile phones today!

Please share this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.
ICE will speak for you when you are not able to

Borepatch who I always look forward to reading what he has to say posted this (I suggest following the links). and it got me thinking we have heard for years now "Were here were queer get used to it", but I hate to tell you that most of us have. Look at the numbers and our friends and we still get upset at a small group of people who want to "protect the family". I also find it funny how both of the militant sides on the subject talk about liberty while restricting the rights of each other. I am sorry kids, but liberty is a 2 way street and like racism things wont change till both sides stop being bigots.

Best way to piss off a liberal is to tell them the truth

Cappy Cap is one of my faves, and here is a link to one of his videos. Now I am a self admitted troll at times, I don't do it to be an asshole, I just don't like people spreading lies. I have followed some of the tenants in his video, but I never and for the life of me I have no idea, but never made bets with the establishment types I like to argue (educate) with. Here is the link and enjoy the decline...
